Built for Post-Production Professionals

Film and TV

Re-recording mixers, post houses, and indie filmmakers delivering to cinema, broadcast, or streaming platforms.

Podcasting

Podcast networks and independent podcasters who need consistent loudness, clear dialogue, and music that ducks automatically.

Advertising

Ad agencies, production companies, and promo editors delivering commercials to broadcast standards with tight deadlines.

YouTube and Social

Video creators and influencers who want professional audio without learning a DAW. Upload, process, download.

Every Platform. Different Specs. One Tool.

Loudness Chaos

Netflix wants -27 LUFS. YouTube wants -14 LUFS. Broadcast needs strict EBU R128. Each delivery is a different spec.

Dialogue vs Everything

Dialogue competes with music and SFX. Manual ducking and automation takes hours per project.

QC Rejection

Fail a loudness check and you're back to square one. Compliance is tedious, repetitive work.

PostMix handles all of it automatically.

PostMix automates the most time-consuming parts of audio post-production. Whether you're preparing a podcast episode for Apple Podcasts, mastering a short film for Netflix loudness compliance, or mixing a TV commercial to EBU R128 broadcast standards, PostMix handles the loudness normalization, true peak limiting, dialogue enhancement, and sidechain ducking in one step.

Features

What PostMix Does

SPEECH

Dialogue Enhancement

Three processing modes tuned to your content type. Preserve for documentaries and naturalistic content. Enhance for TV, streaming, and interviews. AD Enhanced for commercials, announcements, and voiceover. The engine analyses noise floor, frequency balance, clipping, and reverb before applying any processing.

DELIVERY

Delivery Format Mastering

Seven presets calibrated to industry loudness standards: Film (-24 LUFS), TV (-23 LUFS), Streaming (-27 LUFS), YouTube (-14 LUFS), Broadcast (EBU R128), Ad Mix (-23 LUFS), and Podcast (-16 LUFS). True peak limiting and LRA control included.

MIXING

Automatic Sidechain Ducking

Background audio ducks when dialogue plays. Five presets: Light (-6 dB), Medium (-12 dB), Heavy (-20 dB), AD Mix (-22 dB), and fully Custom. Multi-track ducking supported: one dialogue sidechain controls multiple background tracks simultaneously.

QC

Loudness Compliance Check

Programme loudness, dialogue loudness, true peak, programme LRA, dialogue LRA. All measured and reported as pass/fail against your target delivery format. No more QC rejections. Costs a fraction of a full process: just a quick analysis of your existing mix.

ADR

ADR-to-Location Matching

Match re-recorded dialogue (ADR) to the acoustic character of original location sound. The engine matches frequency response, dynamics, timbre, and reverb characteristics. Choose from Dry, Small Room, Medium Room, Large Room, or automatic matching to your reference recording. Similarity scores reported back.

PIPELINE

Full Post-Production Mix

The complete pipeline in one step. Upload all your stems (dialogue, music, SFX, foley, ambience), configure dialogue enhancement and ducking, select a delivery format, and get a broadcast-compliant mix with compliance report and optional processed stems. Up to 16 tracks per session.

Every streaming platform and broadcaster has its own audio delivery specification. Netflix requires -27 LUFS with dialogue gating. YouTube normalizes to -14 LUFS. Broadcast TV follows EBU R128 at -23 LUFS. Getting your audio to pass QC across all these platforms used to mean re-mastering for each. PostMix ships with seven calibrated delivery format presets that target the correct loudness, true peak, and LRA for each platform.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What audio formats does PostMix accept?

PostMix accepts WAV, AIFF, and FLAC files. Maximum track length is 10 minutes. You can upload up to 16 tracks per session for multi-track services (ducking, full mix).

What is EBU R128 and why does it matter?

EBU R128 is the European Broadcasting Union's loudness recommendation for broadcast audio. It specifies a target loudness of -23 LUFS with a true peak limit of -1 dBTP. Most TV broadcasters and many streaming platforms base their delivery specs on EBU R128. If your audio doesn't meet the spec, it gets rejected at QC.

What is LUFS?

LUFS stands for Loudness Units relative to Full Scale. It's the standard measurement for perceived loudness used by streaming platforms and broadcasters. Different platforms require different LUFS targets: Spotify and YouTube normalize to around -14 LUFS, broadcast TV uses -23 LUFS (EBU R128), and Netflix uses -27 LUFS with dialogue gating.

What is dialogue gating / dialogue loudness?

Dialogue gating measures the loudness of only the speech portions of your audio, ignoring music and effects. Netflix and other streaming platforms use dialogue-gated loudness to ensure speech is consistently audible. PostMix measures and reports both programme loudness and dialogue loudness.

What is LRA (Loudness Range)?

LRA measures the dynamic range of your programme material in Loudness Units (LU). A high LRA means big differences between quiet and loud sections. Delivery specs often constrain LRA to ensure comfortable listening. PostMix measures both programme LRA and dialogue LRA, and reports whether they're within spec.

What does ADR matching do?

ADR (Automated Dialogue Replacement) is re-recorded dialogue that needs to match the acoustic character of the original location recording. PostMix's ADR matching analyses the reference audio's frequency response, dynamics, timbre, and reverb, then processes the ADR recording to match. This saves hours of manual processing.

Is PostMix free?

PostMix is free during the beta period. We're using the beta to learn what post-production professionals need most. After beta, pricing will be introduced.

Can I use PostMix for commercial projects?

Yes. Audio processed through PostMix during the beta can be used in commercial projects.

How does PostMix compare to Auphonic?

Auphonic is excellent for podcast loudness normalization and basic audio cleanup. PostMix goes further with dedicated post-production features: three dialogue enhancement modes, ADR-to-location matching, multi-preset sidechain ducking, and full multi-track post-production mixing with 10 native track types. PostMix is built for film, TV, and advertising workflows, not just podcasts.

How does PostMix compare to using plugins in my DAW?

PostMix replaces a chain of individual plugins (loudness meter, limiter, de-esser, compressor, ducker) with a single automated pipeline. It's faster for delivery prep and QC compliance. For creative mixing decisions that need per-sample control, a DAW with plugins is still the right tool. PostMix is complementary: use it for the final delivery stage.
